Power & Speed

The easiest way to win your league is to let other guys get enamored with the Adam Dunn’s of the world while you grab the lesser “bright light” guys like Corey Hart.  In this segment I am making generalizations of where I believe the players will end up.  The minimum numbers to make this group are 15 HR and 15 SB.  Who I believe will make this list with highest HR count first: (and I am sure there will be some missed)

Alex Rodriguez. 38/15
Hanley Ramirez. 35/35
Ryan Braun. 34/15
Alfonso Soriano. 32/20
David Wright. 30/15
Grady Sizemore. 28/40
Nate McClouth. 25/20
Brandon Phillips. 24/20
Chris Young. 24/18
Lance Berkman. 23/15
Carlos Beltran. 22/25
Lastings Milledge. 21/25
Matt Kemp. 20/35
Matt Holliday. 20/25
Corey Hart. 20/20
Bobby Abreu. 20/20
Torii Hunter. 19/15
Jayson Werth. 18/15
Rickie Weeks. 17/20
Jimmy Rollins. 16/45
BJ Upton. 16/40
Jose Reyes. 15/50+
Shane Victorino. 15/33
Alexis Rios. 15/30
Johnny Damon. 15/25
Ian Kinsler. 15/23
Dustin Pedroia. 15/22

As you can see there are plenty of guys to choose from in this group, the key is finding who you can get really late and for what value.  For example, I have Lastings Milledge in this group because I believe this is his big time breakout year, he was a 14/24 player last year.  You can get him very late, as late as the 14th round in 12 team drafts.  You can see why people love Jimmy Rollins in the first, although I have to say I don’t see the peripherals being good enough to carry you as far as some other guys from the first (Although position scarcity lends itself to JRol).
